Wat Arun Temple

Rising above the Chao Phraya River, Wat Arun is one of the most stunning temples in Bangkok. It’s also known as the ‘Temple of Dawn’ as it was named after Aruna – the Indian god of dawn. If you’re not an early riser though, you’ll want to time your visit with the sunset to see its spire glow in the fading light.

The White Temple

The Bridge Over the River Kwai

A couple of hours from Bangkok, the town of Kanchanaburi is home to the Bridge over the River Kwai. One of the most popular war-related attractions in the area, it remains a functioning railway bridge to this day. Visitors can either take the train or cross this infamous bridge on foot. Yi Peng Lantern Festival

Held every year in the city of Chiang Mai, the Yi Peng Lantern Festival is one of Thailand’s most popular events and always yields plenty of Thailand photos. During the festival, hundreds of rice paper lanterns are released into the sky, creating the spectacle shown in the incredible photo above.

Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park

Although its name means ‘the mountain with three hundred peaks’, this beautiful national park has much more to offer besides mountain scenery. Its biggest attraction is the spectacular Phraya Nakhon cave, with a gold and green pavilion at its centre. There’s also beaches, wetlands and plenty of native wildlife.

  1. Though I have traveled to South Asia but have never been to Thailand. But after seeing these pics it seems that I shall visit the Thailand and planning to visit this place.

  2. Thailand has almost hot climate though the cool air is blowing off near the sea which will keep you cool. The pleasant climate all year around is the main reason to visit Thailand and when it rains then there are thousands of things to do.
